Apartamentos Bahia

You can hear the sea at night from the balcony, and the views are amazing. The rooms are basic but very clean, and the apartments sit right on the beachfront in a quieter part of Benidorm. There are plenty of restaurants, bars, and supermarkets nearby, and local buses serve the area well.

Built in the 1950s, this place still has the same basics, so it may feel dated to some people. I found it charming, though. Everything worked as it should. I used a pan to heat water for coffee, but the handle got hot! My first-floor balcony was a safe spot to watch the dramatic storms and rough sea. The Spanish warmth made it easy to get out and about. The 03 bus into central Benidorm costs just 1.50eu and stops on the little road outside. Pay attention on the return, as it stops on the upper road and you could miss the stop you want. Or you can walk back along the seashore, which takes about an hour. There’s no pool, but the sea is just across the little road. It’s a quiet location with well-mannered guests, and all rooms have balconies. There’s a straightforward restaurant on site and plenty of other places along the road. The room was cleaned daily and the towels were fresh. A lovely place for a quiet break, and I absolutely recommend it.

I’ve been coming to Benidorm for over 30 years, and this was my first stay at the Bahia. What a great holiday, in such friendly accommodation. The place was clean and comfortable, with views across the wonderful Mediterranean and a good choice of food at reasonable prices. A big thank you to the very charming “boss”, lol, who let me stay in my room because I had an evening pickup. I’d love to stay at the Bahia again.

I could sit on that balcony looking out at the view for ages. The hotel’s in a fantastic spot, and the staff are all so friendly and helpful. The restaurant and cafe on site serve delicious food too. It made for a really relaxed stay in benidorm, and I’d happily recommend it. Can’t wait to come back next year.
