Apartamentos Europa Center - Arca Rent

The outside is very well kept, but apartment 2c was a disgrace. The fan and lights were broken, and the table was badly chipped. The on-site cafe didn't open until late afternoon. I'd stayed here three times without any problems until this visit.

I'm split on this place. Maybe other apartments in the block are better, but ours was definitely not as advertised. We had two two-bedroom apartments for our family of nine and were told each had a full kitchen. There were hobs but no ovens, just one washing machine between the apartments instead of one each, and only one toaster to share. The old kettles took ages to boil, there were no bowls, not enough basic utensils, and no iron. There were plenty of towels, though, and the rooms were spacious, clean and had linen. Keys are collected at buena vista, about a 15-20 minute walk away. The staff there were always pleasant, but nobody replied to emails. The deposit is €150 per apartment. We got one key per apartment plus another for the block entrance and pool. The pool was clean and spacious, unlike what the photos suggested. The ants were the main thing that distressed me. They kept appearing on the tables and throughout the apartments, and the hallways were covered in them. Nobody seemed to be treating the problem. One apartment was on the second floor, so it wasn't just a ground-floor issue. The restaurant staff were just as unpleasant: rude and dismissive, and they served locals at their tables while we waited a long time to be acknowledged, even when we went to the window.

I liked this complex so much that I bought a two-bedroom ground-floor apartment there. The beach is a five-minute walk away, and there's an immaculate pool that Ivan the onsite porter keeps very well maintained. Nightlife is easy to reach on foot but far enough away not to be a nuisance. Bars and restaurants are reasonably priced. Most apartments seem to have everything for self-catering, though eating out is often easier. You can rent through a few websites, but mine is just for friends and family. See you there 😎 Peter

It was loud all day and night, and we had to keep the windows open to cool the place down. There was no air con, oven, hairdryer, parasols, reception or starter basics. The porter wasn't helpful, and teenagers were running wild with nobody around to stop them. Check-in is off-site, and the linen and towels weren't changed during our stay.
