Apartamentos Ulia

On our last morning, July 8, 2025, we were woken at 4:45 a.m. by the people from apartment 9C again, laughing, shouting, opening cans and yelling across the terrace, apparently drunk. At 8:16 a.m. I still hadn't slept enough and had to drive. This was the end of a week we had waited all year for, and it was spent dealing with nighttime noise, heat and the elevators. The fans only moved hot air around, and the heat from the rooftop made our tenth-floor apartment especially unpleasant. There was also a bad stagnant-water smell in the bathroom, and the apartment lacked a washing machine and hairdryer as well as air conditioning. We paid a fortune for a place missing so many things, and came away stressed and anxious instead of enjoying the sea. Anyone considering Ulia Apartments should think twice if they want to avoid suffering in the heat, and look for somewhere better equipped with air conditioning, a washer and at least a hairdryer. This was our second visit, but this year was a complete disappointment. In 2024 we enjoyed the view and didn't feel nearly as hot. Ulia Apartments has fans, but no air conditioning. With the beach area's bright colors outside and the sun making you sweat, coming back to the room just meant more discomfort and fatigue. I don't understand how hotels can be required to have air conditioning while some tourist apartments don't. The other major problem was the elevators. On arrival, my 93-year-old father and I found one wasn't working. The next day it was stuck on the seventh floor, then later on the eighth. Only one of the two elevators was running. The second, which had been out for over a week, was finally fixed a few days later. There was also noise from kids in the apartment below, 9C, shouting and laughing at night. I told the apartment manager, who said she'd spoken to them, but we were woken by them at 2 a.m. My elderly father was terrified by their drunken shouting and laughter. Victoria later messaged us to say they'd come to her and claimed they weren't making the noise. First she had told my husband she'd spoken with them, then the next day she said it wasn't them. We said we had recordings and would file a complaint. We stayed polite and didn't call the police because we trusted the manager to take action and didn't want to cause a scene in the building. Instead, they practically made a mockery of our holiday. My husband asked the manager for a complaint form the day before we left, but she refused. We'll take it to the consumer protection agency.

The terrace had spectacular views, and reception staff were really friendly. These beachfront apartments were clean, complete and very well equipped. The option for up to six people has two bathrooms, which is a real luxury in Benidorm, and the value for money was excellent. The one thing missing was air conditioning, though both bedrooms have ceiling fans. 😉

Everything was lovely, and really, really clean! The beds are wonderfully wide, and linens and towels were all perfect. It has what you need for a comfortable stay, including kitchen utensils. The kitchenette is small, but you can see they've used every bit of space for furniture. I'd recommend it to everyone.

The eleventh-floor studio was lovely, with everything we needed and stunning views. We were very happy there and would definitely come back.
