I had to keep chasing Love Holidays for two weeks to get my €200 deposit back. I couldn’t reach the hotel on the number I had, and Love Holidays seemed reluctant to help. I wouldn’t recommend either of them.

We couldn’t check in until 4:30, though they did let us leave our bags. The €200 deposit was sprung on us when we arrived, and it still hadn’t come back after we left on the 29th. There was no reception staff around when we needed them. The room had no toilet paper, and nobody cleaned it during the week. We were expected to take out all our rubbish or risk losing the deposit. Hot water only stretched to one shower even though three of us were booked in. The bathroom smelled awful, like sewage. The pool was closed for work, and we hadn’t been told beforehand. WiFi cost €15 for the week or €5 per day, and even the TV remote cost extra. The rules felt ridiculous. It’s cheap, but we’d never stay here again. They need to renovate the place instead of taking money from deposits.

My husband and I are in our seventies, and because there was no reception available, we were left outside until 5:30 in the morning. Love Holidays hadn’t communicated with us about it. During the stay we only saw reception on the day we left, when they came to check the room. Never again.

We booked for six people, then were told only four could stay in an apartment. We ended up paying €650 for a room and deposit. The pool was meant to be closed for ten days, longer than our seven-day stay, and they refused when we asked for part of the deposit back. Inside, beds were filthy and plug sockets were broken. One socket sparked when I plugged in my phone. The door handles were falling off too. The TV had no remote, so we paid €10 for one, only to find there was just one English-language channel. Honestly, the worst experience of my life. I’d advise people not to book here.
