6/10
The room had good air conditioning, though there was no fridge or tea and coffee setup, and everything was pretty basic. The hotel was clean, and breakfast had a decent spread of pastries, cooked food, cereal, fruit, juice and hot drinks. The beach is close by, which makes this a handy low-cost base. The pool is tiny and fine for a quick cool-off, but there were no usable loungers or umbrellas.

10/10
The food turned out to be the nicest surprise, it was delicious. Staff were really friendly, and the location made things easy: about a two-minute walk to the beach and close to the city centre. The rooms were clean and pleasant too, especially for such good value.

4/10
The hotel is handy for both the beach and old town, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The food was good quality, though there wasn't much choice and it was cold. Our room felt worn and basic. There was just one sheet on the bed, plus a thin summer duvet, and no cover in the cupboard.

2/10
The room made sleeping together difficult: although we booked a double, we got two separate beds at different heights. The food was stale-tasting and poor, with no proper vegetarian choices. Most of the other guests seemed much older, which left the atmosphere feeling dull and not very welcoming. A very disappointing stay, and definitely not worth the price.

10/10
The rooftop pool area catches the sun nicely, and the rooms were clean. Our first room wasn't ready when we arrived, but they sorted it quickly and moved us to another one. Staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was OK. I got a bit lost trying to find the place at night, though that may have been the alcohol talking. Good value for the cost, and I'd recommend it.
