Hotel Bed and Breakfast Benidorm

They need to explain the €200 cash deposit and how it gets returned much more clearly. It feels like a scam. At the very least, they should answer calls or reply to messages instead of ignoring customers completely. The only message I got was the pre-check-in note, and it was just a copied template with none of my details or booking information filled in. After reading other reviews about people being tricked out of their €200, I'm glad I didn't end up going.

At first the room seemed modern and comfortable for two people staying 10 nights. As the days went by, though, makeup and tanning products made it dirty, and the rubbish bins got so full that we had to put our trash in cardboard bags. We asked reception how cleaning worked, but nobody knew until one person said it happened on the third day. No one came or told us anything, and when I asked again, I was told it would be on the seventh day. On day seven, after yet another delay, I asked again and was told cleaning was before 2 PM and we needed to hang a card to request it. They had never given us that card before. I got one, but the room was never cleaned at all during our 11-night stay. I can't imagine how much worse a longer stay would've been. On our second day there, the magnetic key card stopped working almost immediately, leaving us outside with the other guests for about half an hour. Thankfully, two young men arrived who knew the entry code, which apparently had only been given to them. Later, with reception absent, we had to get our own towels and toilet paper. Once, we went down to the relaxation area at 6 in the morning. The receptionist came out of her room, which was in the breakfast area and had its door open, apparently startled by hearing us talk. She yelled at us and chased us to the nearby park, insulting us and calling us shameless. We ran off because we were anxious. We'd only gone into a public room where nobody had told us we couldn't go. It was a horrible experience. In the following days, we also heard loud male shouting from that room in the breakfast area, as if people were constantly arguing.

The breakfast was awful: just bread, butter that was still half-baked, dirty glasses, and machine coffee that tasted like water. The staff were rude, there was shouting and noise even at night, and we sometimes had to fetch our own toilet paper and tablecloths because reception was empty. We stayed 11 days and asked more than six times for the room to be cleaned, but it never happened. Each time we got a different explanation, from “tomorrow morning” to every three days or every seven days, despite the website saying everything was included. One night the key-entry device for the bed and breakfast door broke, and nobody told us. We tried to get in several times, then other guests came along and were stuck too. After about half an hour, two men who knew the code arrived. Apparently only those two had been given it. The intercom said there was 24-hour reception, but nobody answered while we rang over and over. The next day they put the code outside the hotel where anyone could see it. The front desk might as well not have been there. Horrible, never again. We were the girls in room 204♥️

The room itself was really nice, and the place is very good. But the staff were terrible. During our four days there, nobody came to clean, and we had no towels or toilet paper. Then, an hour before we left, they slipped a note under the door saying the room hadn't been cleaned because a t-shirt was on the bed. I've never seen anything like it.
