There's no pool, but the beach is only 200 feet away, which is perfect for kids, and shops are right outside. The hotel is very central and near the beach. It's simple and makes no pretensions. Breakfast is mostly continental, with bacon, eggs and sausage as well, and there's more than enough. The breakfast room is very bare and could use a few tablecloths. It's not exactly a university. Would I stay here again? Yes. Would I honeymoon here? No.

We didn't stay at the hotel, just sat outside for a glass of wine. The waiter was friendly, service was good, and it's a great spot to watch Dove Park.

I stopped at cafe Tanit for lunch, not to stay at the hotel, and I really wish I hadn't eaten here. The food was poor, one waiter was very unfriendly, and the whole service was bad. I hope they replace him and the cook. Just bad!

The youngest waiter was showing off when he bumped into my nan and spilled soup all over her. Then he scolded her and walked away, leaving her with a huge bruise on her arm, about the size of a tennis ball. He needs to be more careful. He's very lucky it didn't go any further.

The breakfast had lots of choice, both continental and English, and was very good. My single room was adequate, very clean, and had a spotless bathroom. The hotel is lovely, close to the old town and harbour. I would certainly come back.
