The location is excellent, but the service was very poor. I won’t stay here again. My flight was at 10 PM, so I asked if I could pay an extra €50 to keep my room until 5 PM on my last day instead of checking out at the usual 12 PM. They said I’d have to ask on the day, and could extend only if the room hadn’t been booked. I also asked about moving to another room and paying for it, but was told the hotel was fully booked. On departure day, they said my room was already taken and there were no other rooms available, even though I was willing to pay. But when I looked at Booking.com and the hotel’s own website, rooms were clearly available. It felt like, once you’ve paid in full, they’re no longer interested in helping or accommodating you. That profit-oriented approach instead of a customer-friendly policy is why I’m rating the hotel so poorly. The hotel itself was okay overall.

I won’t be coming back. This used to be one of the good places to eat in Benidorm, but not anymore. That’s probably why it’s been removed from Google Maps. We tried a meat dish and a fish dish, both like canteen food: bland fish, tough meat, frozen vegetables and fries. On another day, we went as a larger party and ordered two rice dishes. The arroz a banda had far too many tiny squid and only a few prawns. The arroz caldoso de bogavante for 4 came with just one and a half bogavante, when it used to be half per person. The broths for the rice also seemed worse in general.

I’d had breakfast here a few times before, but this time I ordered an English breakfast and asked them to leave off the baked beans. They suggested a croissant instead, which sounded great, but the plate arrived with a salad of lettuce, pickled gherkins, grated carrot and so on. I think they were having a laugh. Like lots of places, they seem keen to raise prices and win the race to the bottom. 😐 Try the English bar near the waterskiing ride at the end of the promenade. They won’t put carrots in your breakfast 😋

The restaurant was clean and tidy, and the food was fantastic, with lots of choice and something different every day. Staff were friendly and professional.
