Hotel Marina

We had a clean room with a balcony, though there was an odd sewage smell in the bathroom. The pool area was tidy, and there were plenty of staff around if we needed anything. Housekeeping would leave fresh towels, or you could skip two days and get a free bucket of beers. The staff were lovely, especially the pool waiters. There was loads to do in and around the hotel. Music started at 10, with a DJ and entertainment from around 12 to 6. The food was nice and the portions huge. The drinks were amazing too, especially the strawberry daiquiri, piña colada, and Baileys choco, which was my favourite. Transfers were easy to get from the hotel, it’s right on the main strip, and the beach is about a five minute walk away. One thing we hadn’t realised was that the deposit was 300 per booking, which worked out as 150 per person.

The hotel was great overall, and the staff were really friendly. My room was nice, but the service needed more attention to small things. I stayed three days and didn’t get extra milk or coffee delivered after day one. The water in the fridge was apparently free, though I had to ask reception to find that out. A note on the fridge and some signs saying the WiFi is free would have helped.

We had a friendly, polite welcome and no problems during our four nights. The rooms were spacious and clean, and there were enough sunbeds, tables, and chairs by the pool. Even though the hotel is right in the heart of benidorm, closing the doors kept the noise out. Really recommend it, and we’ll definitely stay again.

Shayan was fantastic serving us on the VIP beds today. He was attentive all day, professional and pleasant, and did everything he could for us. He made the day a 10/10.
