Belem was the best host we've come across, always helpful during our stay. We spent a month there over Christmas and New Year in the recently refurbished front apartment, with several family members joining us at different times. We travel for three months each year and have stayed in dozens of rentals, so we have plenty to compare it with.

The owners made us feel really welcome, and the studio was fresh, clean and modern. The villa has a lovely pool, and the two-bedroom apartments were nice too. Shops, bars and the beach are all about an eight-minute walk away. Just what we wanted, and we'd book again.

The rear apartment felt too dark, with too few windows for natural light, though it was fairly secure. There wasn't a safe for valuables either. The front apartment was the best one. The apartments have what you need, and the place gets sun all day. There's also a convenience store nearby.

The owner was really pleasant and helpful. The place was very clean, spacious, and had everything we needed.

The furniture was very old, and as advertised, the place really wasn't big enough for five people.
