Aparthotel Residencia & Spa Parques Casablanca

A lovely apartment hotel in a beautiful location, with friendly people. My one gripe was the odd timing: check-in isn’t until 4 pm, while checkout is at 10 am.

We liked being able to spend some days just enjoying the complex, especially the Poolbar. Along with drinks and snacks, it serves surprisingly tasty lunches and dinners at very affordable prices. The staff there were fantastic and helped us with all sorts of little and bigger things throughout our stay. Apartotel Parques Casablanca is clean, spacious, quiet and very relaxing, which suited us well as a family with children. We like having a calm place to come back to, and this was just right. It’s one of the few places we’re certain we’ll visit again.

The apartment had beautiful high-end finishes, the area was lovely, and the staff were really helpful. I went in January, though, and getting around needs some advance planning. Parques Casablanca is a bit remote, there are hardly any buses in winter, and trips to Calpe or Moraira are difficult. There’s a nearby supermarket and a full kitchen if you want to cook, but for eating out you’re basically limited to the one local restaurant, Mandala at Fustera beach. Arrange a car or ebike hire ahead of time. I preferred the ebike, but in January it’s dark by 6:45 pm and the unlit roads aren’t safe for cycling after dark, which can limit what you do. If you’re looking for peace, quiet, beautiful scenery and a chance to recharge that time of year, it’s perfect.

The sea is close by, and there’s a beautiful pool area. The staff at the pool bar really looked after us, and the food and drinks there were delicious. They make the whole complex special. We’ll be back soon!
