Caballito de Mar

Mornings were a highlight, thanks to the delicious breakfast. The setting is peaceful and lovely, and the owner and staff made us feel welcome as soon as we arrived. Our room was spotless and beautifully decorated, with so much care in the details. We had a wonderful stay at this B&B and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. Such a gem!

Breakfast is the one meal they serve, and it’s generous, with familiar international choices alongside local specialties. I don’t usually eat tuna salad, but I enjoyed it every day from the buffet, and you can also ask to have individual treats made fresh. Tucked among the hillside houses in Moraira, Caballito del Mar is a small hotel with individually styled rooms. There are two pools and plenty of lovely spots to stretch out and relax, so you could happily spend the whole day there. The staff are friendly, attentive without hovering, and glad to help with things like day trip ideas. I’ve rarely left a hotel already wanting to return so soon. Simply fantastic!

The staff were all fantastic, and breakfast was lovely. It felt more like an experience than just a hotel stay. We drove five hours up from Malaga, and it was worth every kilometre. What a place to visit. We’ll probably come back next season 😎

The quiet here was lovely, with only the breeze in the palm trees and birdsong to hear. There are cozy little corners all over for relaxing, and good restaurants are just a 5 to 10 minute drive away. We stayed for the final days of the season in November and enjoyed it so much. Coen gave us a warm welcome, and the breakfast each morning was really well prepared. John and Anna were fantastic hosts and made us feel right at home. It’s a wonderful place to unwind, and we hope to return. I’d recommend it to everyone!
