Plenty of gluten-free choices here. The food and service were good, with hearty stews and good grilled dishes. I’d share the starters.

The service was the part that really let us down. Nobody was openly rude, but the staff came across as cold and unfriendly, without much courtesy. The meal itself also felt overpriced: our party of two adults and a child paid €33 for a ham and cheese sandwich, a pork loin and cheese sandwich, and half a Spanish omelet sandwich. The portions were small, and the quality wasn’t great. We’d seen the positive reviews and expected something different. We don’t usually post negative reviews, but thought it was fair to share what happened.

The waitress was so lovely, and the atmosphere was delightful. We were surprised by how much care went into preparing the food, especially for such reasonable prices. We’re keen to come back and try more of the menu.

The trout was spectacular, and the shoulder of lamb was tender and juicy. We also loved the salads, and the desserts were elaborate and homemade. Best French toast I’ve ever had. Everything we ordered was well prepared with fresh ingredients, and the service was excellent. Very satisfied.
