The breakfast was one of the best of our trip. Ask for the omelettes, they're lovely. The place is very nice and fantastically clean, with room service every day. The internet was flaky and pretty rubbish, though it worked fine in the lounge, and it didn't cause us any real problems. You don't need a car. We could walk down to Bermeo, then get a taxi or bus back from fairly close to the hotel. The views over the hills are beautiful too. For a good walk, turn right as you leave the hotel and head to the top of the hill. The views up there are amazing.

The mountain lookout is a must-see, and the setting here is stunning. Our room was very clean, with a spacious bathroom, in one of the best locations around.

The hotel is tucked away in the mountains, so you’ll need a car. It’s about a 30-minute drive down to the coast, and there’s free parking. The sea views are wide open, the rooms feel cosy, and the staff are friendly and speak good English. They gave us great tips for day trips to hidden spots. I’d happily stay again if I’m back in the area.

We had a balcony on the side of the building, where we could watch and listen to the horses from our room. The view across the valley was lovely, and Here Drive’s GPS took us straight to the front door. The staff were very nice, dinner was good and reasonably priced, and the breakfast buffet had lots of choice. Our room was clean and the beds were good. I’d come back in a heartbeat.

The view out of our window was spectacular, and our room was just right. The place felt cosy and comfortable, and the staff were kind and really attentive.
