The owners were really nice, but I left feeling disappointed. Our room cost 77€ a night and was right beside the highway. Even with double windows, the traffic noise came through. The bathroom was separated only by glass, so there was no privacy. The meals felt overpriced too. We paid 34€ for three vegetable-only plates, water and coffee, and 8€ for tomatoes is more than I’ve ever paid for a vegetable. The prices didn’t feel fair, and the stay wasn’t worth 77€ or the good reviews. We didn’t enjoy it.

I loved the colorful design in my room and around the hotel. The owner was wonderful and helped us arrange an early morning taxi. Such a fun stay, with lovely service!

The restaurant was the real surprise. The food is simple, but cooked impeccably, and we were astounded by it. Inside, the place has a lot of charm, especially in the restaurant. From the main road, it looks a little odd when you drive up, so it really is a case of not judging by appearances. Our room was spacious and comfortable too. There isn’t much to do nearby, so I’d see this more as a stopover. Still, we had a lovely stay.

On our third day, everything in Zubiri was booked, and this hotel was a great find. It was excellent value, with lots of room, and everything was very clean. Meson olave, right across from the hotel, was wonderful and added a lot to the stay. The service was great for us, rain-soaked and tired pilgrims.
