The house feels secluded once it gets dark, with forest all around, though it’s only 10 minutes from the Spar supermarket in Besalu. It’s a peaceful rural retreat. Booking the whole house would be better, since otherwise you’ll have strangers next door and the walls can be thin.

The house is isolated in a good area for walks, but we won’t be coming back. It’s split into two apartments, so noisy neighbors can ruin the peace and you can hear everything. Apartment 1, Carles, has three bedrooms but felt cramped for three couples with children. Several things were in bad condition: a radiator fell off the wall and flooded the dining room, and we couldn’t find an unbroken ping-pong ball. The pool table is for children, sits in a room where the cues don’t fit, and is completely sloped. Wi-Fi is slow and only reaches the dining room. There’s just one shared barbecue area for both houses, and it isn’t even made of stone. So I get the last drink.

There are several hiking trails in the mountains, and the peaceful location is great for spending a few days with family or friends surrounded by nature. The house is welcoming, with spacious bedrooms and a roomy kitchen, and it has what you need, including a pool and barbecue. An incredible rural experience, highly recommended!

The hosts were lovely, and the well-equipped kitchen had everything we needed. The spacious, comfortable houses were ideal for a weekend with children and pets. We had an exceptional time and will definitely return.

This isolated house sits in the middle of the forest and is divided into two separate living areas. It’s quite compartmentalized, and the rooms aren’t very spacious. The stay was okay, but at the same price you can find better houses.
