Fuencaledaras is a tiny, little-known village near the mountains, but it's beautiful and its residents were kind and helpful. We turned up late after a rainy day without a reservation, and the owner kindly let us stay in the casa. It was spacious and well equipped. I'd definitely recommend staying here!
The welcome was handled really well. Ruth answered our questions quickly, and Imma greeted us warmly and looked after us throughout the stay. The house itself was inviting, spotless, and very practical, with two bathrooms. We especially liked the little enclosed garden and its wooden table, where we could have breakfast and enjoy the view. The small, secluded village is a lovely choice if you're a nature lover looking for some peace and quiet. I highly recommend it.
There are two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a pretty spacious kitchen-dining area, so the accommodation feels really nice and roomy. The area is great for peaceful nature trips and easy mountain walks. The one drawback is the bar: its opening hours are very limited and irregular, so you might not be able to go out for a beer. But if serenity is what you're after, you probably won't miss having a bar nearby. 🙂
We had a great time getting away with friends in this small, pretty village, which is very well maintained. Inma looked after us and made sure we had all we needed. The countryside is good for an easy stroll or a tougher hike, and the locals made us feel right at home. We chatted at Tomás's bar like old friends, and the bar has just about everything you could want: homemade croquettes, delicious potatoes and pickled peppers, plus black olives that were a big hit. Thanks so much for everything.
We spent a whole week in the house, or "caxico," in the tiny, romantic village of Fuencalderas, hoping to get away from the city and find peace, quiet, and colorful trees. We got all that and more. The house is kept incredibly well and was spotless. It had everything for cooking, along with shower gel, towels, books, and board games. I worked remotely and was surprised that the internet was better than in my apartment, given where we were. There are lots of beautiful trails nearby that aren't too difficult. The locals were so welcoming and attentive. Inma and her family deserve a special mention for sharing a beautiful, unforgettable morning with us 🍄🌲.
