Hostal Pirineos Meliz

We stayed here before a multi-day hike, then came back after the walk tired and ready to recover. It was an easy decision to stay again. Both times we had dinner and breakfast at the hostal, which also has a simple, peaceful terrace open to the public for a meal or a beer. It's a welcoming family-run place, with comfortable rooms, standout cleanliness and kind service. Really good value for the price.

We were very happy with our stay. We booked a double room on the spur of the moment while hiking, then added another day the next morning. Breakfast costs just €5 extra if you get it there. Our room was spotless, with a bathtub and free Wi-Fi. Check-in involved some language-barrier work on the phone, and despite booking online, we could only pay at the property. Still, a great stay. We'd gladly return.

The restaurant serves delicious food, and everyone on staff was really friendly. The room itself was modest and small, but very clean, with new windows and a super comfortable bed. The location is handy, right in the city center. Parking takes some effort: the public lot is a five-minute walk away and is usually full. I'd definitely stay again.
