Camping Gavin

The village nearby is lovely, and the pool is great. The facilities were clean and good. The tent pitches felt a bit jumbled and packed close together. You’ll need a car to get around, but it’s a great place for a holiday.

The site makes a good base for biking, hikes of all levels, and exploring the area. The pool was open when we visited in mid-June. Gavin is a pretty village with a couple of good bars, while Biesca is bigger and fairly upmarket. Facilities were spotless, with lots of hot water, plus there’s a small supermarket, a fairly large bar and restaurant with excellent food, laundry, and a dishwasher. The terraced site has level pitches. Some are open with lovely views, while the shaded pitches look out onto old caravans, which is a shame. Both Gavin and Biescas are about a 15-minute walk away along easy tracks. I’d return.

Patricia welcomed us when we arrived at Gavin for the first time and went through everything carefully. The site was clean and well run, and the toilets and showers were immaculate. There are some lovely walks starting from the site, along with a little supermarket for the basics. We’ll be back, thanks for a lovely stay.

Even with lots of people around, it stayed quiet and didn’t feel crowded. It’s a cute, spacious campsite, with plenty of shady trees and lots of amenities that are clean and well equipped.
