Arenal Suites Bilbao

At Arenal Suites, the room was modern and clean, with a roomy bathroom and a bed I slept really well in. The reception staff member was friendly and helpful. We had an amazing stay in this central spot in the old town.

The bed was unbelievably comfortable, memory foam, and I got three really good nights of sleep. The room was clean, the shower was powerful and spacious, and the bathroom was beautiful. There were clean towels, plenty of toilet paper, shower gel and shampoo, plus a powerful hairdryer. I loved the little balcony for enjoying the Spanish atmosphere. Staff were lovely, spoke English very well, and were great to chat with. You get your room number and door codes at check-in. It’s well located near public transport, shops, and lots of places to eat and drink. The cleaners were friendly, professional, and respectful of our belongings, just making the bed and tidying the bathroom. I wish I’d had some cash to leave them because they did such a good job. Just keep in mind that people in Spain often socialize late. With a few bars nearby, there’s still some bustle until around 23:00.

The location is ideal for exploring the city center on foot. The room was nicely designed and got lots of daylight through large windows in both the bedroom and bathroom. Service felt average, though, and the staff weren’t especially attentive. There was nowhere to park a bicycle, and the room didn’t have coffee or tea facilities, which are pretty standard these days.

I’m staying at Arenal Suites for a week, and so far it’s been great. Everything is close in this central location, so it’s easy to get around on foot. My room is insulated from outside noise, and the bed is so comfortable that I’ve slept well every night. The bathroom is very, very clean, and the cleaning lady comes by every day to look after the room, which is really nice. There’s ventilation instead of AC, but it’s been enough for me. Definitely recommend 😇💯
