Lidar Hotel

In daylight, the hotel and neighborhood seemed less seedy, but I wouldn't book again. The room was just okay, with scratched, cheap furniture and a shower that was a bit moldy. I arrived late at night in the rain and had to walk along a dark, lonely path beside the train tracks, past many panhandlers. The front desk clerk was on the phone while I checked in, which made the whole thing feel a bit surreal.

The staff were very polite and helpful, and the hotel is in a great location. The bathroom was nice and spacious. In general, it's a pretty decent hotel. There weren't enough sockets in the room. I also would have liked more towel hangers in the bathroom and separate hooks in the corridor for jackets.

It's an uncomplicated, basic room with a good bed and shower. The cleaning and reception service were good, and the old town is an easy walk away. The surrounding area is a bit dirty, though Bilbao as a whole seemed that way to me.

The room was below average, though the bed was okay and the air-conditioning unit helped make my stay pleasant. I've never stayed in a hotel room with no wardrobe and nowhere at all to hang clothes. There wasn't even a hook for my jacket, and the mirror light in the shower room didn't work. The location is good, with plenty of places to eat, and the staff were friendly.
