I left early because I no longer felt comfortable, clean or safe there, and management offered no compensation or goodwill. The property felt neglected and dirty throughout. Walls had stains and marks even though staff insisted the rooms had “just been repainted.” The bedding didn’t feel clean, and shared bathrooms were filthy and poorly maintained. Hygiene seemed far below an acceptable standard. There was also loud, constant ticking and banging from the pipes or radiator all night, so proper rest was impossible. Another guest aggressively banged on my door and shouted at me over noise I wasn’t making. As a woman travelling alone, I found it intimidating and completely unacceptable. Staff were dismissive and took no real responsibility for the environment. I also strongly suspect I got bed bug bites here. I’d stayed in several other places on this trip with other people, and nobody else had bites. I’ve had bed bugs before, and these bites were extremely similar. Given how unclean everything felt, it wouldn’t surprise me. What made the stay even worse was management brushing off, minimizing or denying every concern. Their response felt defensive and dismissive, with no real concern for guest safety or hygiene. I travel frequently and stay in hostels and budget accommodation, so I don’t have unrealistic expectations. This was genuinely one of the worst stays I’ve had, and I’d urge anyone considering it to book somewhere else.
