The price is more than fair for comfortable rooms in a central spot in Blanes, close to the beach. There’s no air conditioning, but the quiet ceiling fan kept the room pleasant. We spent two nights at Can Setmanes and found it a really relaxing, wonderful stay. The whole staff was caring, helpful, and very professional.

We booked two rooms so my father and I could get some rest after a very long trip. The staff were friendly, and one kind staff member offered us another room, but by then the experience had been too bad for us to stay. I showered, packed our bags, and we left within about thirty minutes. I asked for a refund for one room, just to get a little money back, but that wasn’t possible. We won’t stay here again. We chose the hostel because the listing on booking.com said private parking was included. On arrival, we were told private parking was only available during certain hours, but that wasn’t mentioned on the listing. We had to park in public. Just after getting our bags out of the car, we saw a guy walking along the opposite side of the street, checking every car window for something to steal. I witnessed it myself. There were long hairs in my father’s shower, and the cloth or blanket on my bed was clearly unwashed. A woman by the window our room bordered on kept scraping her throat and spitting out of it. I could hear my father talking from a floor below. In the response, the hotel tried to describe the woman’s repeated throat scraping and spitting as a cough. We heard it numerous times. The response also didn’t mention that private parking was limited to certain hours, and we hadn’t even arrived that late. A guy checked all the car windows just after we’d left ours. I adjusted my rating.

The location made it easy to walk to the beach, city centre, shops, and everything else we needed. For this price, the value was incredible, and I’d definitely recommend it. The room was cozy with a very comfortable bed, and the staff were lovely and kind. Breakfast was included, and it was just enough to get us through until lunch. We had a great stay.
