Jorge looked after us brilliantly from the start. We were very comfortable in the cottage, which was spotless and had everything we needed for a few days. It’s in a quiet area, and the town is beautiful. We love nature, so we especially enjoyed the varied surroundings and all the hiking possibilities.

The hostess was very friendly and explained everything clearly. Coming from the A7, follow the first turnoff marked on the GPS map, along the Roman road and bridge. The house is lovely, comfortable, welcoming, and beautifully located. We’ll probably come back.

Jorge treated us like family, and I can’t thank him enough. We had booked four nights and paid the deposit, but family circumstances meant we couldn’t go. He had no problem refunding our money. From the very first minute, he was there to answer questions and sort out anything we needed. On holiday, we all want a great house, a good cancellation policy, a small pool, and every amenity we can think of. Having an owner as kind and helpful as Jorge makes it even better. If I get the chance to visit Bocairent, I know exactly where to stay and who to contact. Thank you so much, Jorge. I hope we see each other again soon. Don’t hesitate to stay at Casa Gimeno. I didn’t get the chance to stay there myself, but I hope I can next time, and I’ll let you know how it goes.

A word of advice: pack light. You have to walk up a steep hill to reach the house, and with a stroller it can be tricky. It’s all hills and cobblestones. Even our Bugaboo had some tough stretches, so with kids I’d bring a hiking backpack. There are shops nearby with what you need, and shopping there is easy and low energy consumption. Inside, the views are fantastic. The house is clean and well cared for, with heating throughout, all kinds of kitchenware, and everything you need. We stayed with our 12-month-old, and used the travel cot they provided as a playpen in the dining room during the day. The fireplace is there, but you need to bring your own firewood and grill if you want to barbecue. It would be nice if they provided a grill. The TV is an old digital terrestrial model that doesn’t work very well, hahaha, but that’s a minor fault.

The home is decorated throughout with wood and stone, and would suit one or two couples with children. It’s in a really quiet area, with lovely views of the Mariola Mountains.
