Alda Boiro

Great spot and friendly staff.

My six nights at Hotel Alda Boiro were comfortable, and the staff made a real difference. Carla was energetic, attentive to details and keen to help; Sandra was enthusiastic and friendly too. Breakfast each day was delicious, with fresh croissants and pastries. The room was spacious, clean and had a TV, closet and private bathroom. The facilities were clean, with clear signs for guests. Even though I arrived late, check-in through the online help desk went smoothly. I could hear footsteps and noise from the room above, especially on my last night. A safe or locker for valuables would be useful, and the toilet facilities could use repairs or updating. Even with those drawbacks, I had a pleasant stay and would recommend the hotel for its friendly service and cleanliness.

The pillows were a little uncomfortable, and the bathroom tiles and furniture are dated. Still, we had a fantastic stay and would happily return and recommend it. The hostel is well located, with spacious, very clean rooms and lovely staff. Breakfast is a buffet, better than at many hotels, and the price is very reasonable. I don't know why its rating isn't higher.

For a hotel with a receptionist on a screen, it was a pleasant experience. The room was basic but spotless, the price was great for what you get, and it was completely quiet. Just read the instructions carefully and you'll get it; the remote receptionist was pleasant too. My only safety suggestion is about the balconies: they're connected, and the balcony doors don't lock properly, with no key in the door. That's the one thing I'd change. Boiro is beautiful and peaceful.
