A Quinta Das Maceiras

After five rainy days hiking Galicia's rolling hills, a stay at A Quinta Das Maceiras felt like a real treat. Olga and Pedro were so generous and welcoming. The place is impeccably kept, and the rooms have thoughtful details and everything you need. Dinner was delicious, and breakfast was balanced and filling for hungry pilgrims. Pedro restored this place from a ruin himself, and the result is a little piece of heaven. Olga has decorated it with so much care. The linen is exquisite, and the property is exceptionally clean. We were welcomed with hot drinks and homemade biscuits, then sat outside looking at the apple orchard they’re so proud of. Only 100m from the Camino, it’s hard to imagine more kind and attentive hosts. After the walk, the natural products Olga provided were so welcome for our dry skin and hair. The log fire and soft throws were lovely, too. Don’t miss this place, you won’t be disappointed. 🙏 Ol

The home cooked dinner and breakfast were delicious, and our hosts really looked after us. Olga and her husband clearly enjoy running the place and are wonderful at it. The property is gorgeous, surrounded by nature, comfortable, and feels like home. Our room had all kinds of body products, plus even a hair straightener, which made my friend's and my day after so many hours of walking. I can't recommend it enough.

After a long day walking, sitting by the pool while dinner was being made felt amazing. They served homemade roast chicken with potatoes and salad, and even brought me seconds. I packed the very good breakfast to have for lunch. The bedrooms are incredibly comfy with lots of nice extras, and the house itself is beautiful. This was easily my favorite place during my seven day Camino. The owners really do their best to make guests happy. Wishing them lots of business, they deserve it.
