Hotel Temple Pradorrey

I had a great stay 42 years ago. I have no idea what it’s like now, though. So many negative reviews!!!!!

It was impossible to stay in the apartment as we found it. The sheets were dirty and had bugs in them, the place looked neglected, and there was no hot water. When we first arrived, nobody from the hotel was there to welcome us. One person eventually showed up, photographed our IDs, and pointed us toward the apartments, then left us alone in an isolated complex with no lighting and open common areas. We contacted both the accommodation and Booking.com, but got no help or alternative. So we had to find and pay for another hotel ourselves, on a Sunday afternoon during a December holiday weekend, when everything was booked and prices had shot up. It was a terrible experience that could have been avoided. I won't return, and I can't recommend this place.

I called from A Coruña to arrange everything, and it all seemed fine until we got to the hotel and found nobody there. I had to call another hotel to reach the owner. She called back, told me to call a different hotel, then hung up. My wife was pregnant, and we were 700km from home. I wouldn't recommend the place to anyone. Someone really needs to do something about this, because people call, aren't told it's closed, and are asked for their card details. DON'T CALL.

We arrived for our booking and found the hotel completely shut, almost as if it had been abandoned. There'd been no warning it was closed, and at the last minute we had to find somewhere else to sleep, which was a real hassle. Its reviews haven't been great, either. If I were managing the place, I'd wonder whether it's worth opening it to the public when guests keep leaving with such a bad impression and the negative reviews pile up year after year.
