Casalpujarra

The garden was the one awkward part, since it doesn’t connect directly to the apartment and that should be clearer. Otherwise, we had a really pleasant stay. The place was clean and very well equipped, with heating and a fireplace that made it cozy. It’s in a great location and easy to find, and the host was friendly and explained everything clearly.

We felt right at home in the lovely house and garden, thanks in large part to the warm welcome from Antonio and his wife. Antonio shared fruit from the garden with us, including cherries, loquats, apples, and berries. We also got fresh linens and towels twice, and some lovely keepsakes from the village when we left. We had a wonderful holiday and would definitely stay here again when we’re back in the Alpujarra.

There was a hairdryer, toaster, griddle, and coffee maker, but some basics like a colander were missing. The dishes, glasses, and utensils in the kitchen were dirty, although the rest of the cleaning was okay. The apartment is quite nice, and the host was easy to reach and explained things well when we arrived. My main gripe was the heating: the radiators only come on automatically at certain times, so we couldn’t turn them on when we got there.

The apartments are nice, with bedrooms, a fireplace, radiators, and a patio with tables. We were given very good service when we arrived. Just remember that guests have to bring and pay for their own firewood and lighter if it’s cold.
