Hotel Villa Turística de Bubión

There’s a separate sitting room, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. They’re almost like self-contained chalets, just without kitchens. The main hotel serves excellent food, and the staff are friendly and very helpful. Recommended.

We used the apartment as a base for cycling and exploring the Alpujarra region, and the setting was excellent. Bubión is only a couple hundred metres away on foot, with Pampaneria and Capiliera a few kilometres farther. The layout has the feel of the nearby famous white villages, and the place is really relaxing. After long hikes or days exploring the valley, the lovely terraced pool area was a great place to recover. The children’s playroom was a real bonus too, letting the kids play while the parents chilled out. Our apartment had two double rooms, a nice salon, a small garden that our dog loved, and a little fridge to keep drinks cool. There’s also a good restaurant in the complex. We stayed two nights with the family and can’t wait to return in cooler weather to climb Mt. Veleta!

The villa was clean, the place was nice, and the staff were very friendly. There wasn’t any parking available, though, so I had to leave the car in the town center. There’s no Wi-Fi inside the villas, which won’t bother people who just want to get away from the big city.

It’s a three-star hotel with a great view. You can walk to the village and to Capileira, and the drive through the mountains is great.
