We had a really pleasant stay, and the Bear Trail starting right outside the door made it easy to head out for walks. The garden is wonderful, with a big lawn for the kids and hammocks, chairs, parasols and more. It was surprisingly quiet despite being close to the road, and we couldn't hear it when sleeping. Inside, the house was spotless and clearly well cared for. The beds were so comfortable, with new mattresses, that we slept just like at home. The white sheets and towels were perfect, and the roomy kitchen was clean and barely used, with great pots and pans and a wide choice of dishes. A very large, comfortable house.

The garden was a hit with kids and adults alike, with two picnic tables and a little enclosure with three goats for the children to enjoy. The owner was lovely and happy to help or give advice. He also offered a visit to his farm, where children could see and feed different animals. The house is well placed for exploring the area and getting to the Bear Trail. Inside, there are five bedrooms, four upstairs and one downstairs, with two upstairs bathrooms and an en-suite in the ground-floor bedroom. The kitchen is large, with a big table, and the living and dining area has an extendable table with plenty of chairs, a big sofa and a TV. The country house is spacious and the rooms are well equipped. Wi-Fi is available, though the signal isn't strong everywhere.

There's plenty of parking, and the country setting is great for barbecues and relaxed meals out in the meadow and patio. For walking, the Bear Trail is close by, and there are other routes to take too. The road runs right outside, and there's a river for swimming, though the water is a bit chilly. The views are lovely and the location is excellent. We found the house clean, fully stocked and well equipped, with large rooms and spotless, well-kept bathrooms. A fantastic spot for a group trip with friends or family. I'd highly recommend it, and would stay again if I get the chance.

There were ten of us staying over Easter 2019. We found it roomy and comfortable, and the outdoor barbecue was great. The owner was really friendly. We'll be back for sure! 👍
