El Mirador

The room had lovely views from the windows, and the bar service was very good. But there were problems throughout our stay during Easter week. On the first morning there was no hot water, and the TV didn’t get any channels. The following day our room wasn’t cleaned, even though we were paying €95 a night. There’s no Wi-Fi, the bathroom lighting was too dim, and the lack of maintenance was obvious inside and out. Now they’re trying to charge us another €70 after everything was already paid. What a bunch of crooks. This place should close.

The place feels like a 1960s horror movie set. If something goes wrong, they won’t take responsibility or fix it, and calling it a complete scam feels fair. Also, check-in ends at 4 PM. That’s absurd if you need to arrive in the afternoon. Don’t even consider staying here.

The setting is really nice, and I think that’s how people get drawn in... hahaha. We wish we’d checked the reviews before going to the restaurant for a bite, because it would’ve saved us the disappointment and money. The food was terrible. They seem interested only in charging you, not in whether you’re satisfied. I wouldn’t recommend it at all.

The room at the hostel smelled awful, and the window looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in years. Then, early in the morning, the hostel dog came down the hallway barking and woke everyone up. We were travelling in our 4x4s when a breakdown delayed us. We had warned them on WhatsApp, but they read the message and didn’t reply, and didn’t answer our calls either. They used the situation to charge a penalty of €20 for every hour we were late.
