Hermitage Hotel & Spa Mallorca

The concierge was completely uncooperative and brusquely turned us away, even though we politely asked to speak with the manager. We were willing to buy food and even pay to park for a few hours, not overnight, and there were plenty of spaces. This place is mainly a hotel, but Google Maps also lists it as a restaurant, and it’s often recommended as a starting point for hikes. That could be very useful, since there’s virtually nowhere else to park nearby and no pedestrian access. But be aware, that impression is highly misleading. I can’t comment on the hotel stay itself. It’s in the middle of nowhere and completely inaccessible on foot, and I wouldn’t expect great service. If you’re just planning to stop for food or coffee, or even to go for a walk, don’t.

There’s no beach nearby, but the quiet, spacious rooms, beautiful grounds, and outstanding breakfast make it worth the time and effort to stay a few days. It’s also very convenient for visiting Soller and Valdemossa.

The fields and scenery are incredible and made the stay worthwhile. The staff were incredibly nice and friendly, always helpful and willing to find a solution. The food was quite good for a small hotel, and breakfast was good too. A few small things could be improved. The sauna is nice, but they don’t provide towels there, so bring your own. In rooms 1-5, the cheap wood flooring is very loud when you walk on it, so getting out of bed can wake your partner. Still, it’s a really nice place and a good price for the value. A few changes could make it a five-star hotel.

The staff are so friendly and clearly care about the guests and the accommodation. This is the best place I’ve ever experienced, so if you’re unsure about staying here, trust me and give it a try. Dinner costs extra, but it was worth it and really great. I hope there’s another chance to visit, and I look forward to that day. Wishing all the staff the best of luck.
