Apartamentos Turisticos Pueri Cantores

The kitchen was so poorly stocked that I couldn’t cook much of anything. We booked four nights and tried to cancel the fourth on the first day. They said there was a 48-hour notice policy, so we figured we had more than 48 hours before that night and should be able to cancel and get a refund. But they wouldn’t offer one, even though that was their stated policy. The whole experience was pretty lame. It felt like they didn’t care about the place, and you could feel that while staying there.

The location is excellent, but I had a one-night stay full of problems, and the reception staff at the other hotel location didn’t seem interested in sorting them out. The heaters were on and couldn’t be controlled, making the apartment unbearably hot. Opening a window meant bugs could get in, and it would compromise privacy or safety. One radiator leaked across the floor, and the shower head only worked on a very low setting, otherwise water went everywhere. There was hardly anything provided and nowhere to prepare food. A little basic maintenance could make this place so much better.

The modern room is nicely fitted out and can sleep up to four, with two fold-out bunks. It’s close to the Cathedral, in the pedestrian area, though motorcycle parking is nearby. Picking up and returning the keys at the hotel is a little inconvenient, but it doesn’t take long.

The apartment was clean and the location worked well, near the cathedral and old town, just off the square. The beds were okay, though nothing special, and the apartment itself was very basic.
