Norte y Londres

The room had two old twin beds pushed together, with dated mattresses. There was no air conditioning during a 100 degree heatwave. The fan didn't work, and the front desk seemed surprised that I was complaining after a heatwave and a five hour trek. I needed the fan replaced. The window opened onto a brightly lit, noisy square, with revelers there until 4am. Breakfast was run by a stern woman and felt joyless, with deli meats and sliced bread. If you want the atmosphere of a haunted, abandoned nursing home, you've found it.

I didn’t find anything to fault with the hotel. It’s a lovely place in the old city center, though the nights can get pretty noisy.

The staff were really pleasant and helpful, and there was a place to leave my bike. The shower was fantastic, and the room was nice, though dated. It’s well located, but at £134 I didn’t think it was worth the price. Breakfast was the weakest of my trip: no bacon or scrambled eggs, and nothing hot apart from unlimited coffee. The bread was cheap sliced white, and the pastries, including the croissants, tasted like they’d just come out of a plastic bag.

That balcony view is perfect, and the staff and rooms are the best I’ve ever seen.
