It gets hot in the room, with no air conditioning and plastic mattress covers to help prevent bed bugs. Still, there’s a handy place to wash clothes, including tubs out back, and both a grocery store and restaurant are an easy walk away. A good option if you can’t get into the hostel after coming down from the mountain.

Everything was clean and well kept, and the staff were polite and welcoming. The room felt quite small, though, and the bunk beds made a little noise. Facilities were good, with roomy shower cubicles, a washing machine downstairs and a boot rack. You have to leave your boots there to keep the floors clean.

After a long, rainy trek from SJPDP, the kind guy at reception was welcoming and helpful, and the hostel was extremely clean. Muddy boots go downstairs in the laundry and drying room. The bathrooms were spotless, and there’s coffee, tea and a vending machine. I did miss having hooks in the rooms or a place to set my pack besides the floor. There’s no soundproofing or insulation, so it can be noisy until quiet time at 11pm.

The beds feel soft, with charging ports right beside them, and the bathrooms are clean. The host is friendly too. I haven’t had breakfast or slept here yet, lol, so I’ll update this after that. So far it seems like a nice, clean, new place that’s great for pilgrims.
