Felix gave us so many helpful suggestions for exploring the area, and breakfast was phenomenal. The service couldn't have been better, and our expectations, already high from the glowing reviews, were even a little exceeded. The view from our room across the valley and the mountains, close and distant, was especially lovely in the morning. The hotel sits on the edge of the Sierra Nevada and has five rooms, all spacious and well equipped, bathrooms included. Four rooms have a second entrance onto a kind of circular balcony walkway. The owners essentially rebuilt the place with help from local tradespeople. If we're nearby again, we'll stay here without hesitation.

Félix and Encarna, thank you for a lovely few days at El Castañar Nazari. The owners were so charming, and their care shows in the room decor and in the breakfast. They also made planning easy by suggesting places to see and things to do. Both the hotel and its surroundings are beautiful.

Everything was spotless and well looked after, and breakfast was fantastic. The owners know the area incredibly well and are great to chat with. A fantastic place for a weekend break and some time to unwind. 100% recommended.

The owners are delightful, and the hotel feels warm and cozy. I loved the thoughtful touches in the large suites, the superb breakfast, and having L'Occitane products available. Set among the mountains and nature, it's just a short distance from one of the region's typical little white villages clinging to the mountainside, and only an hour from Granada. A magnificent rural hotel, highly recommended if you're in the area!

The peaceful surroundings are full of trees and flowers, the sort of calm you don't find in many places. Everything was clean, the rooms were huge, the beds big and comfortable, and breakfast superb. The staff were wonderful, especially Felix, the charming and helpful owner. After the stumble, he gave us a hug. “Thanks, Felix, for the hug after the stumble, you know what I mean,” he said. There isn't much else I can say to do it justice. It's excellent, though not wonderful and not a five-star hotel. We'll definitely return. Best wishes to Felix and company, and thanks for making us feel so at home.
