Hotel Masia la Palma

I rented the place for our wedding guests, and the management owes me 8,000 euro but is refusing to pay. I'd be extremely careful about doing business with this establishment.

The wooded setting made for lovely quiet walks, and Lucas, the hotel dog, even led us through the maize fields. We stayed at Hotel Maisa la Palma in July 2023 and found the whole place relaxed, with a high-end feel. Our room was beautifully furnished and had air conditioning. The garden's 10-meter pool was a refreshing spot, and although we didn't use the spa or massage facilities, they added a luxurious feel. Sa Poma's food was exceptional, the wine list was well chosen, and the service was warm and attentive. The kitchen was run by a mother and son, while a father and daughter managed the hotel and served at tables, giving the place a special family feel. Breakfast was generous. Lunch and dinner had the same menu, and the popular restaurant needs to be booked in advance, even if you're staying at the hotel. We also appreciated the ample parking. The Honesty Bar was a fun idea: you could take drinks or snacks and write down what you'd had to charge to your room. It's a real hidden gem, peaceful in summer and, I imagine, just as charming in winter. We found the quiet we were looking for and wholeheartedly recommend it.

We came for three nights and ended up adding one because we didn't want to leave. It's peaceful, clean, modern, and thoughtfully set up, with plenty of room inside and out to relax. Breakfast was good. We were out exploring Spain at lunchtime, and dinner was delicious. Book ahead at the restaurant because it seems to fill up every night. It's small and fine, in the fine-wine sense, not just okay. The hosts were helpful and did their best to make things work for us. If you're after a quiet country escape from the hustle and bustle, this is the place. Highly recommend this little countryside secret.

Really disappointing. We were looking forward to staying at the Massia and had planned our weekend around it. We booked a room through booking, but the hotel called today to say there was no availability. As a business, they should check their rooms and make sure they're not listed on booking when none are available. It's that simple. Sadly, we didn't get to stay.
