A nice place to stay, with very friendly service and a reasonable door for the price.

My partner and I really enjoyed the place and the service. A train went by very early and woke us, though with the windows shut you can barely hear it. That’s no reason to miss out on this beautiful place. Breakfast at the café next door is incredibly cheap.

We slept soundly on a comfortable bed in this quiet, affordable place. The house is lovely, beautifully restored, and has lots of rooms; the basic bathroom was perfectly adequate. The main drawback was being beside the train tracks. With the heat, we slept with the window open and got woken early many times.

The family running this peaceful place is lovely, and I was captivated by it. We were lucky to find such a beautiful spot on August 25th. I’m adding it to my list for future trips to Cantabria. Thank you!

The room was spacious and had what we needed, including a mini-fridge that was a bit noisy. The setting in the Saja-Besaya valley is excellent, a minute from the highway to Santander, with beaches and mountains 20 minutes away. You do have to cross the railway line, and trains pass often, but with the windows closed you can’t hear them.
