We spent four nights camping here while visiting Fort Bravowhich is about an hour's drive away, and exploring the coast. The campsite facilities were clean and adequate, with a shop and restaurant on site. The coastal views and lighthouse are spectacular if you can look past the scrubland and plastic. I’d also recommend the patisserie by the BP garage.

The site is fine if you’re happy to stay put and the weather’s decent. The campsite itself and its facilities were good, especially the showers and cubicles. The shop looked well stocked, and the restaurant seemed popular in the evenings, though we didn’t eat there. But there’s little worth walking or cycling to from this boring, featureless location. There’s a flat path to the beach, but no country walks or scenery. If you like getting out and exploring under your own steam, I’d give it a miss.

The pitches are a bit scruffy, though they’re clearly marked. Facilities were clean and tidy. It was okay overall, but the reception staff seemed miserable and weren’t very friendly.

Looking for quiet? This is the place. There aren’t bars, restaurants, or shops around, but the site itself has a well-stocked shop and a lovely family-run restaurant. It’s clean, well run, and good value, with lovely people there. All the site staff were super friendly and helpful, and the facilities were lovely and clean. You’ll need a bicycle to get to the beach, or it’s a 20-minute walk.

It’s a little out of the way, but this is a lovely small campsite with good facilities and great staff. A nice place to get a break from everyday hustle and bustle.
