I stayed in this apartment from 14-18 August 2019 after booking through Booking dot com, and paid a 200 Euro “security deposit.” I was careful and didn’t damage anything, but the apartment has refused to return the money, saying I broke an old iron. I was scuba diving and never touched an iron. A new one costs only E20-30. Booking dot com emailed me to confirm that “there is no evidence to support their claims that you damaged the room.” Even so, Booking dot com wouldn’t help me recover the E200, and the apartment is now dodging my calls. WARNING: this business won’t return your deposit. I really don’t recommend staying here.

It was a nightmare 😭. The owner didn’t meet us at the agreed 3 pm check-in and told us to wait until 9 pm or later, without knowing when she’d arrive or whether the apartment would be cleaned. I was travelling with my parents, who are 77, so we went to the first hotel instead, La Residencia in Cadaqués, which I highly recommend. The owner showed no respect for tenants and no professionalism. Booking.com refunded the rental, but she refused to return the deposit. After I kept insisting for a month, Booking.com eventually refunded that too.
