Worst stay ever. We booked a double bedroom with a shared washroom, but at check-in the owner said we had to pay another 20 euros because there were two of us. The booking apps showed the same price. Then the owner came into our room at midnight over the 20 euros. Unbelievable. The room looked completely different from the pictures. There are better options in town.

I had a really enjoyable five-day stay, and the property is central, attractive and very well maintained. The communal spaces and bathrooms were kept in good shape, apart from one wobbly shower head. My only concern was the sound insulation inside the building. From room 11, noise from nearby rooms came through loud and clear.

The place is basic, clean, comfortable and central. We weren't keen on sharing a bathroom, but there were two, so it wasn't a problem. We would stay again if we visited Cadiz, and would recommend it. There are flamenco shows very close by, but book ahead. We misunderstood the parking when we booked and thought it was included. It needs to be arranged in advance, which would probably be obvious if you knew Cadiz, unlike us. The owners replied promptly and were helpful with parking advice, but by then we were already at the property and needed a solution straight away. We parked in an underground lot nearby for €25, though we could have found somewhere cheaper if we'd known. The listing should explain the parking situation and advice more clearly.

Check-in and check-out were easy, and the clean, pleasant room was a good fit for a quick visit. It's close to the centre and the main sights. One thing that could be improved is the air conditioning unit outside the window, which is also connected to another room. Even though we didn't use it, it switched on every few minutes during the night and made a lot of noise. Still, I'd recommend the place.
