Breakfast was good value for money, and communication with the staff made things easy for us. Hotel Patagonia Sur is close to restaurants, the beautiful Cathedral, the historical centre of Córdoba, and the sea. Everything came together during our time there, and we had a great stay in Cadiz.

The two-bedroom apartment was practical and suited our needs perfectly, with good noise levels too. It’s about ten minutes on foot from the train and bus stations and five minutes from the Cathedral. My only suggestion would be to provide washing machine detergent and milk.

I felt nervous and scared after the owner yelled at me and told us to leave immediately. We’d asked the hotel and booking to help us find another room because of construction noise across the street. Everything was booked, but the hotel left a note in our room saying we had to leave ASAP. I spoke with the receptionist, who was sarcastic and unfriendly, and explained that we didn’t want to leave, just find a solution. We reached an agreement, but the next day, as soon as I entered the hotel, the owner called me to the room and told me to come downstairs and step aside. He was red-faced, shaking with anger, and said we’d caused trouble by asking booking for help. He claimed we hadn’t canceled our request to change hotels, even though we had, and I showed him on my phone. I work with psychiatric patients, and I’ve never been spoken to so rudely or frighteningly. Instead of looking for a solution, he blamed us for complaining and threatened to put us out on the street. He didn’t apologize even after I showed him the canceled request.

We loved our stay at this excellent hotel right in the middle of Cadiz. The room was very well equipped and in great condition, and the rooftop rooms have direct cathedral views and are great for sunbathing. Staff were welcoming and friendly, and brought breakfast to the room on request for only 6€ per person. Everything is within walking distance, and there’s cheap parking nearby at Parking Canalejas, 12€/day with the app.
