Cadiz Arboli

At night, the noise became a real issue, and we slept so badly that we left a day earlier than planned. We learned that Cadiz collects garbage in the very early hours every day, presumably to keep pests away, and the town is indeed very clean. But from about 2am until 4am there was a lot of noise from bins being moved and the truck emptying them, along with plenty of other noise. I've never encountered this elsewhere in Spain, though I could be wrong. It's surprising that no other reviews mention it. Anyone wanting quieter nights might prefer to stay farther out of town. The flat itself was lovely, centrally located, handy for everything, spotless, nicely decorated, and comfortable. Violeta offered us another apartment, and we appreciated her effort, but it was in a similar spot and two floors up, so it wouldn't have fixed the noise or helped us sleep. We understand this isn't the flat's fault and is outside her control. Communication with Violeta was good and efficient.
