Casa Brasil - 1ª Linea Playa con Parking Incluido

We visited Cádiz Paseo del Mar in July 2025. Being right on the beach and close to lots of restaurants was great. The rooms were roomy and comfortable, though a bit noisy, and the pillows were quite hard. The very friendly, helpful staff made the stay much better.

We stayed here because of a family emergency and its proximity to the hospital. The staff were incredibly kind and patient with us, even when I was being dramatic and a bit crazy. They helped us feel calm and cared for. They probably know how to look after guests who are heading to the hospital. The rooms are clean and modern, and the ocean-facing ones have a breathtaking view. Breakfast was fantastic, and those staff members were kind and patient too. They offer beach towels, and La Marea and other great places to eat and drink are nearby.

I liked Melia hotels before, and this one initially appealed to me because of the location and the photos online. But my stay didn't live up to either the photos or the Melia reputation. My east-facing room was very dark, so I'd suggest asking for one facing west. The first room smelled strongly of smoke. I was moved, but the next room had a noticeable smoke odor too. The hotel's only response was that smoking wasn't allowed. I ended up leaving without staying the night. They made no effort to make it right or even offer a partial refund. I wouldn't recommend this hotel based on my experience.

I paid €89 a night without breakfast for a very small room, and was placed at the back, so I couldn't really see the sea or sunset. The hotel is conveniently positioned along the beachfront road and promenade, and the room itself was comfortable. At reception, the staff were quite pushy about signing me up as a member of their hotel chain, saying it could hypothetically lead to a future sea-view upgrade. I was disappointed by that sales approach.
