Casa Palacio Cadiz

We really didn't want to leave the penthouse. It had two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a huge outdoor terrace, and was beautifully furnished. The location made it easy to walk to all the major attractions, and parking nearby was affordable for the area. Reception was excellent and even arranged a taxi for us to Jerez.

The room was quiet, the air conditioning worked perfectly, and the staff were friendly and helpful. There's a well equipped kitchen if you need one, with lots of cafés, restaurants, and bars nearby. It's a great base for exploring historic Cádiz, and underground parking is only a short walk away.

We loved the relaxed feel of the hotel and Cadiz, and would definitely stay again. Communication made it easy to arrange check-in before we arrived, and a lovely, extremely helpful receptionist handed us the keys. Our room was like a studio apartment, with a full kitchen, washer-dryer and detergent, a kettle, a seating area, and an extremely comfortable bed. BBC World News was the only English-language TV, but sometimes it was nice to have background noise in the evening. Everything to see in the old town was only a few minutes' walk away, yet the hotel was quiet. They also had lots of helpful suggestions for things to do and places to eat. La Candela was one of them, and had the best food we ate in two weeks in Spain. Cadiz gets busy with day trippers from Seville in the morning. We enjoyed having a few days here, sleeping in, going out for lunch, and finding the town almost to ourselves by 2 pm. We visited the cathedral later in the afternoon and had a drink in the square outside in the afternoon sun.

We had a lovely stay and didn't want to leave. The apartment was spacious and spotless, with modern, equally spotless en suites, and it had everything we needed. We were lucky to have the huge roof terrace to ourselves, with really comfortable sun loungers and day beds. The location was great too. We loved Cadiz and hope to return, and we'd plan to book this apartment again.
