Soho Boutique Columela

The room was clean and nice, with Nespresso, a minibar, and a safe. Mine had an interior window onto the atrium, though I'd rather have a garden or street view. The elegant hotel deserves more than three stars. It's perfectly placed in the old town, and the staff are friendly. There's also a rooftop terrace guests can use.

This is my first five-star rating. If we ever return to Cadiz, this is where we'll stay.

The room was large and beautifully decorated, and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast didn't have many choices, but everything served was fresh and tasty. The staff were friendly and helpful. There was a lot of sand on the floor when we arrived, so it was very dirty. We also had a shower problem: the water flow was great, but a drain issue meant water quickly spread across the bathroom. Even so, I'd highly recommend the place. It's absolutely worth the price.

I was charged a one-night penalty when I cancelled, which felt really unfair. I’d booked an economy room on the hotel website and asked whether it had two separate beds, which I need, and whether we could bring our small dog. The hotel later said pets weren’t allowed in economy rooms, so I’d have to pay more for a standard room. They also said they had no twin rooms available. Since the beds were important to me, I cancelled. The website hadn’t said pets could only stay in standard rooms, yet I was still charged. Very disappointing.
