Barceló Portinatx - Adults Only

The breakfast was amazing, with lots to choose from, and the morning yoga was excellent. We didn’t use the rest of the wellness menu. There are great walks nearby, including one we took to the lighthouse for the views. The beach is across the road, and the hotel also has two pools, a pool bar with more loungers, and a fitness area. Our fourth-floor apartment had a large balcony with sun loungers, deckchairs, a hot tub, and a two-person sunbed with sun protection. This adults-only hotel sits at the end of Portinatx, a quiet, peaceful setting that suited a relaxing stay. Everyone working there, from reception and the bar to the restaurant and housekeeping, was magnificent, really friendly, and worked incredibly hard to make our stay a good one. We’d highly recommend it.

There are a lot of steps around the hotel, so it won’t suit anyone who dislikes climbing them. The room safes are screwed to the floor, which meant plenty of kneeling to get things out. We were on a B&B basis, and breakfast was good. The hotel is next to a small cove beach with beautiful sunsets. The beach beds and bar are run by a great guy, and he serves brilliant cocktails right to your bed. The waterside restaurant had amazing fish dishes at low prices. It’s about a ten-minute walk into the main resort, though we preferred this location. We stayed in early September 2025, and all the staff were excellent and helpful. All in all, a great holiday in Portinatx.

We came back for a week in May this year after a four-night visit last year, and the hotel was lovely. Just bear in mind it’s in quite a remote spot, so you’ll need to walk or take a taxi to the nearest town.

The hotel sits right by a small, pretty cove where you can rent sunbeds and umbrellas, and sip cocktails made by the very charismatic Carlos. The sea is safe and easy to get into, with watersports equipment for hire and plenty of lovely restaurants looking over the cove. We had a fantastic week from the end of September into early October. The staff, food, facilities, and both pools were brilliant. The setting is stunning and pretty, with a chilled vibe. We didn’t want to leave and will be back!
