Hotel Tagomago

The hotel is small and not too rowdy, and the beach is beautiful. We stayed for a week and found the place clean, with a brilliant location. Reception staff were amazing and helpful, but the dining staff let things down. I have allergies, and they didn’t seem keen to check ingredients or help, so I had to ask reception. They only let me have almond milk at breakfast, not in the afternoon, so I could only have tea with it at breakfast, which seemed crazy. The scrambled eggs had milk in them, so I asked for an omelette instead, but was told no, I had to take what was on the buffet. Just a few small things, but they spoiled it a bit. We had one bad night with very loud neighbours, though I suppose that’s expected in Ibiza.

We’re just leaving and had a lovely stay. It’s a three-star hotel with clean, comfortable rooms that are a good size. Ours had a fridge, which was handy in the heat, and a lovely sea view. The place feels family-run, which we liked. The pool is great, and you can hire a cabana for 50 euros of food and drinks throughout the day. Service is slower than at a big chain because it’s a small but busy hotel. The food is good too, and breakfast is a buffet with lots of options. We also liked the mix of English and other European tourists.

We had more than 100 British pounds stolen from our room, as well as 70 euros and things like portable chargers. The hotel did nothing to put it right. Christine and Louis, along with several other reception staff, were useless and rude when we raised the issue, saying it wasn’t the hotel’s problem. I can’t recommend this place.

Good location right on the coast, and decent for the price. It’s 15-20 minutes from the big super clubs. The rooms are clean and fine, but extremely basic. Breakfast is basic too, though sufficient, and the staff are friendly and helpful.
