Mondrian Ibiza

The hotel had a vibrant but relaxing feel, and every detail seemed thoughtfully put together. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. Carlos really stood out during our visit. He greeted us warmly each time, checked that everything was okay and suggested some excellent restaurants. His attentiveness made the stay even better. We had a great time at Mondrian Ibiza. The rooms were comfortable, breakfast was very good, and the atmosphere felt relaxed and welcoming. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout. We'd definitely return and recommend the hotel to others.

I've stayed in more than 150 hotels, and this felt like a four-star place rather than a five-star one. Even the property gives the impression of a four-star hotel renovated to try for that extra star. The lobby is beautiful and the pool is convenient, but that's about it. The service was questionable, our shower kept flooding, and the room smelled the whole time. The beds were extremely uncomfortable. Once, our room service order took a full two hours to arrive. The elevators were painfully slow, and there's no soundproofing.

The studio suite was a good size and had two double beds, though one was a sofa bed. That sofa bed was flimsy and poor quality, not sturdy enough for decent sleep and felt like you could fall through it. The balcony looked out over the car park, pipes and an air conditioning unit, so sitting outside wasn't much of a pleasure. For what we got, €1,800 for two nights didn't seem worthwhile. The hotel has nice views over the small bay and sea, and the amenities are good. The pool may be small, and the sunbeds were gone by midday even at the end of September, so you'll need to plan around them. The bars were fine and a little on the premium side, which fits the hotel's pricing and market.
