Hipotels Bahía Grande Aparthotel

The food was a letdown for me as someone with gluten intolerance. For all seven days, I was offered the same bread and muffin. At least the gluten-free dishes were marked at dinner, though the desserts weren't. The indoor pool was cold and overcrowded, and in April the outdoor pool was still too cold to use. We'd come hoping to rest, but there was constant noise inside and outside (see video). From our second-floor room, we could hear the entertainment area two floors below, so sleeping before 10:30 pm was impossible. After the first night I asked to move rooms. The receptionist was unfriendly and said no, explaining that the hotel was full and there was no cleaning staff available, which surprised me. I asked again the next day and got the same answer. I wouldn't return or recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a restful stay.

The indoor pool is cute and relaxing, with plants and a view, though it's a shame it isn't open every day. Hotel security could be better too, since there's no restricted outside access to the pool and anyone can walk in. Our room was clean, comfortable, and spacious. The building's outer side and balconies felt more private than at other hotels. The beach is extremely close, and the city center is about a 10-minute walk along the shore. Breakfast had lots of choices, and they often changed. The room could use a few more things, like a sponge and soap for the dishes, plus tissues. Staff could also do a better job of showing guests what the hotel has available.

Our sea-view balcony was a lovely feature, and the air conditioning was much appreciated. The shower stayed warm and had great pressure. The lobby, bar, restaurant, and pool area all looked refreshed and were kept clean. The room itself was older, but clean and spacious, with everything we needed. There was a living room, a separate large bedroom, and two big wardrobes with lots of hangers and drawers. The only things we missed were washing-up liquid and a sponge.

The location was nice, and it felt child-friendly. The rooms were nice and kept very clean with daily cleaning. Staff were nice as well.
